The purpose, as explained, is to preserve great books and make them both affordable and aesthetic. We want them to be worth keeping on your shelf.
We are already working on the next addition.
Thrice Pub. intends to create a collection of important but sometimes forgotten work. And we begin with Yevgeny Zamyatin's "WE." Probably the first dystopian novel in the modern era. Before 1984. Before Fahrenheit 451. And written by an iconoclast arrested and jailed by both the Czar and the Bolsheviks (in the same building several years apart). The intention is to create a collection of inexpensive but handsome copies of important work unmistakably Thrice-like.
There are other copies of WE, certainly, available in the world. So it is not “lost” by any stretch of the imagination. But, for Thrice, we want to create a collection worth shelving and keeping and do so affordably.
We want to get back to publishing new, independent authors, and possibly return Thrice Fiction Magazine back into the marketplace of ideas as well. Creating the Thrive Fiction Library is one of the steps we are taking to get to that point.
