Going through the process of getting published through small, independent publishers has been everything from frustrating to wonderful. Being taken on by Sulfur Editions out of Cairo, Egypt, has been the best experience so far.
It took me thirty years to get my first novel into print, and now there are three within eight years. I said, when I retired from my straight job, that I was going to finally concentrate on writing full time and I guess it is paying off.
Thanks to editor Mohsen Belasy for being willing to take chances. The Watchman Protocol is available across many channels and formats, and will receive translations into French and Arabic as the year moves on. I’m completely delighted.
So, yes, I’m pitching you, my small but loyal band of stalwarts, the latest project.
We enter a world where tradition and ritual are forms of tyranny, and ask why is it that sometimes we do things because we’ve always done them that way. And, in the case of what goes on inside the stronghold, why does it sometimes mean a choice between life or death.
